Most planners and to-do list end up leaving you overwhelmed and stuck. But I found one that actually works even in the most hectic weeks. So, in this video, I'm going to walk you through that exact planner I've been using for years and given to my clients to effortlessly get more done every month, week, and day, no matter how busy your life gets. And I'm also giving you the planner for free, which you can get in the link below.

So before walking you through the planner, let me walk you through the three biggest mistakes people make when planning and how this planner fixes them all. So let's look at mistake number one. Most people's planning fails because of one simple reason. They approach their month, week, and day kind of like a badly planned road trip.

Imagine you're going for a road trip and the first thing you try to do is to cram every single tourist spot along the way. Your schedule gets packed. You're rushing everywhere and instead of just enjoying the journey, you just end up overwhelmed and stressed. And that is the first planning mistake, doing too much.

When everything is trying to become a priority, then none of them really is and nothing actually moves things forward. Let's move on to mistake number two. Imagine you set your destination on your GPS, but barely look at it again. you end up taking the wrong turns and you don't realize until it's way too late and you have to drive back and get back on track. That is the second planning mistake.

In practice, that would mean that you would get so caught up in the daily task that you lose sight of your long-term goals and as a consequence, you just end up busy but busy doing the wrong things. And the last mistake before I show you the planner that solves all of this. Imagine you're going on this road trip again and your attitude is that you need to visit every tourist spot. It's like you need to do it.

It's an obligation, right? Then it's not going to be so fun or lightheaded anymore, right? You're almost just checking off boxes. And that is tanning mistake number three is that you are turning your to-do list into a mustdo grinding list.

You end up just losing all joy, energy, creativity and ironically you also end up less productive. So these three mistakes are what most people do and that is why they end up not getting much done, overwhelmed, stressed and stuck. So, what if you could fix all these three mistakes with just one simple pattern? That is what I'm going to show you next.

And again, this template is linked for free in the description below. All right, guys. Here is the planner, and I'm going to show you how to use it and how it solves those three problems we just talked about. All right.

Um, so yeah, just a cool little cool just a simple banner here to, you know, make you focus on the things that will move the needle. That will be the main focus for this whole template. And I'm really trying to keep it simple, right? Because simplicity is what's most effective and it is what is going to it is what is going to make you use it, right? if it's too complicated and too overwhelming, even though it might be good, you'll just stop using it like it's too complicated, right?

So, this one is very simple and very effective. The first mistake that most people made was that they're doing too much things, right? So, how this one solves that is through these questions. So these questions are trying to solve the same thing which is trying to figure out the one, two or three key task you should focus on for the day.

All right? So maybe you resonate more with this question than this and you can start to use that more. Right? But in the beginning I would advise you to go through all the three questions just to see uh what answers it gives you.

Right? And so let's say at the start of the day you you go through that and then maybe you write in task one, task two, right? Ideally just one, right? And then you only focus on that.

But let's say you end up with like three or four task, right? This is not good, right? Because now you're ending up with the same mistake that most people make, which is that they do too much. So I will limit this to only three and then what I would do is for task four let's say you listed out four task and you kind of prioritized right then for this task four I would put it here in the bonus task right so the bonus task only touch these after finishing the above task right these bonus task you don't really need to do them for the day because they are not that important these three are the most important actually It's just this one, right?

And after finishing that, you do this and after finish that you do this. Like you're not like this is the main focus, right? So this is how this planner uh solves that um problem of doing too much, right? Mainly through these and being disciplined about only having one, two or three task here, ideally just one.

And then anything above three, you move it here. and these and then you look at these as only bonus task like if you want to do them you can do them but they are not needed right um yeah and some simple um technicality here you can just add this one and then we it will add uh the task or you can just simply continue the numbering however you want to do it okay so that was the first uh mistake with doing too much the second mistake is the thing related ated to losing sight of your long-term goals, right?

A lot of people, they only have like a list for today, right? And this makes it easy to kind of forget the long-term goal. So, what I have done is that I'm also showing the week and the month here. And the reason I'm doing that is because because now you can easily see a bit longer, right?

And you can easily see if if the task you're doing for today is aligned with the task you're with the most important task for the week. Right? So for the week and the month you would for example at um the beginning of each week or each month you type in the most important thing for that month. And then when you look back at your week and you type type out those tasks you can see if those tasks are aligned to this one.

Right? Because if it isn't aligned, then it's really just a waste of time. You're procrastinating, right? You're doing tasks that tasks that are not moving the needle, right?

And the same you list out um the most important task for the week and then you start to list out the most important task for the day and then you can see okay are these tasks really align with the most important task for the week and the month. Right? You can easily see that now. And if they aren't, you just you have to cut it out, right?

You have to do the task that are aligned, right? So, this setup makes it very easy to spot it and it you you don't lose sight of your long-term goal, right? And I found this to be a good balance in terms of uh today, the week, and the month. And of course uh in my head I also or in my approach I also I also have like another template that have my long-term goals and the the task I list here for the month will also be aligned to those long-term goals right so everything is aligned right everything is focused right I'm not I'm minimizing the chance of me doing task that are not moving the needle the or task that won't get me anywhere.

Right? So that's the that's the alignment that solves the second problem or second mistake that most people make. Right? Okay.

And the third thing uh the third thing is this energy, this mindset of needing to do a task, right? As we talked about this mindset really makes it kind of draining to do the task. You start hating it. you just start, you know, checking off boxes and you lose creativity, you lose energy, you lose motivation, right? So, how does this template solve that?

Well, it does it um through a lot of ways. Um the first thing is that I actually call this a want to-do list, right? It's not like a need to-do list. So, I'm kind of reframing in my mind already by the name of this to-do list.

And the second thing is the wording here too. I I'm asking what is the one thing I can do today, right? It's a very subtle shift. Um but it does counter the needing effect, right?

If you were to write or if you were to think what is the one thing I need to do now, you're subtly getting into that needing mindset, right? Needing mindset. But I'm writing can here. And you can change this too.

Um actually when I think about it, it would be better if um what is the one one to three things I'm blessed to do. Right? You can change that to put you more in this gratitude uh mindset, right? And you can change it here too.

Um blessed to do. You can I'm choosing what is one? Um yeah, you can choosing right maybe this is the best one actually it's the best best middle ground but if you like you know blessed want to choosing you know this will counter the needy mindset that most of us get get into after working for a little right working for a while so actually I'm going to do that here um what is the one I'm choosing oh Uh and then also here, right? Yeah.

So that's that's kind of how I counteract that. You know, some periods of my life, I also like to do some gratitude exercises even before I look at my to-do list in the morning. That also helps a lot. And just in general too, right, be be a lot just be more in a grateful state.

Just think more of things that you're grateful for, right? that will it will counter this needy mindset a lot and you know you will notice it um after working maybe for a month and then you're suddenly think you start to hate everything like you start to hate the task it's not fun right then you know okay now I need to change my mindset so that's the planner and grab it in the link below but here's the thing even with a perfect plan how do you actually execute and get things done if you want to dig deeper into that you can watch this next video over here where I'll show you my exact fourstep system for that.
